Kitchen Shift Lead or Cook (part time,full time,term time only)

This role has a starting salary of £14,876.11 per annum based on a 20-hour working week. (£26,777 per annum for full time equivalent).

  • Part time and full time opportunities
  • 8 hour shifts between the others of 7am to 8pm with some weekend work will be required.
  • You will be scheduled to work at your local centre where possible, High Ashurst being the main base during winter.

We are seeking experienced caterers to lead our shifts in the kitchen at our busy outdoor education centres.

The Kitchen Team Lead is a really varied position, requiring good organisational skills, sound catering knowledge and experience in a busy kitchen.
You will lead the shift, prepare, cook, and serve to our guests who range from school children through to adult groups.

Each day is different, so adaptability is key to meet the ranging needs of our groups: providing tasty, quality food.
From time to time, we deliver themed events which will bring your creative skills to life!

Serving and cooking outdoors are all a part of these exciting events which add to the variety of this role.
Other areas of responsibility include staff mentoring, ordering, menu planning and stock control.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.

  • You will be scheduled to work at your local centre where possible, High Ashurst being the main base during winter. High Ashurst is in a remote locations, so please consider your transport arrangements.
