RYA level 1 start sailing course at Thames Young Mariners

Whether you are taking your first steps afloat or you want to develop your skills, we have a dedicated team of instructors and coaches to look after you and a range of small boats for you to try out.

All our courses are run to the guidelines and recommendations of the Royal Yachting Association, the National Governing Body for sailing in Britain.

This short course is aimed at getting you sailing your own boat confidently.

You'll learn the basics and get a good sense of achievement from being able to helm your own boat. You will be introduced to the basic sailing techniques in the Pico or Bahia.

This course takes place at Thames Young Mariners, which is located in Richmond, near London.
