Frequently asked questions for The Adventure Zone

For questions specific to your booking at The Adventure Zone (TAZ), please ensure you have read through the information on our TAZ web pages, the email you will have been sent once you have booked, and also the documents available to download from our website.

Can I book over the phone?

Please let us know if you need any help with your booking.

Are there age restrictions?

The minimum age for:

  • holiday activities is 6 years old
  • weekend activities is 8 years old
  • family activities or short breaks is 8 years old for water activities and 6 years old for land activities.

When should we arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.

Is equipment provided?

All equipment is provided.

What if I need to cancel my booking? Can I get a refund?

All cancellations must be made by email and acknowledged by the SOLD Bookings Office.

The booker must cancel by email to: outdoor.learning@surreycc.gov.uk

There is no cooling-off period for TAZ Holiday Courses.

If a booker cancels a TAZ Holiday booking, SOLD will not give a refund.

If the booker cancels a TAZ Holiday course, SOLD will offer the booker a unique discount code for 80% of the cancelled place value. This will only be valid on the same course and same date. This code may be offered by the booker to friends and family, to fill their cancelled place. The unique code booking must be made more than 24 hours before the course start date and time.

What if I need to contact the centre my booking is at?

Please contact the Business Support Team by email (outdoor.learning@surreycc.gov.uk) or by phone (01372 378901) who will be able to assist you or pass a message to the relevant staff member.

Where do I find out information about TAZ including kit list, directions or further information about the course?

Please take a look at the TAZ section of our website which has all the information available for each course including kit lists, the address of your chosen centre and additional information about the course. If you need directions to the centres please go to our centres web page and select the appropriate centre.

Alternatively, you will be sent an email confirming a place or places have been booked which will include all the relevant information or links to where to find it.

Are your staff qualified?

All our staff hold the appropriate qualifications for the courses they are instructing on.

What if the weather isn't too good?

We operate in all weather conditions, however the activity sessions may adapt and in some cases may be substituted for an appropriate alternative if the weather conditions will have an adverse affect.
